WOD for Awareness

May 7th, 2016 –  CrossFit Bacon and SEPTA of Old Bridge is proud to host our 2nd Annual WOD for Autism AWARENESS. Raising awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorders is important. ASD is so varied, and each case is extremely unique. ASD affects over 3 million individuals in the U.S. and tens of millions worldwide. Education, early intervention, and coordinated support between, family, friends, school and community can help children with ASD improve social and academic skills. All proceeds of this event is donated to SEPTA of Old Bridge to directly benefit children with special needs here in our very own community.  Whether you crossfit or not, there is a workout for everyone.  Participate as an individual or round up a team of 4 (can be co-ed)! Thank you in advance for supporting a cause that is very personal for us!
PARTICIPATION DONATION:
Individual athlete minimum donation: $40
Team of 4 (co-ed is fine) minimum donation per team: $150

*Please read our registration guidelines. Money can be collected from sponsors to cover your participation donation, using the donation form.
*All participants will receive a T-shirt prior to the event (supply limited to first responders). Trophies awarded to the winning team in the team event.

Scaled Workout – 1st Heat starts at 1:00 p.m.
8 Minute AMRAP
5x DB Shoulder Press (25/20)
5x Med Ball Squats (14/10)
5x Situps

RX Workout *MUST HAVE CROSSFIT EXPERIENCE TO ENTER RX WORKOUT – 1st Heat Starts at 2:30 p.m.
8 Minute AMRAP
5x Deadlift (95/65)
5x Hang Cleans
5x Thrusters

Team WOD – 1st Heat Starts at 4:00 p.m.
4 Person Coed (Team with Fastest Time will Win Trophies)
*FOR TIME
30 ft farmers walk (35/24) (Each person on team must finish before beginning air squats)
100x Air Squats
100x Slam Ball
100x Ring Rows
100x Sit Ups
*Team can break up reps among them any way they want, or just have one person continue until they can’t and the next person picks up. Must complete 100 reps among them before moving to the next movement.
